Anchorage Lifestyle Photographer and Videographer || Moss and Myrrh Photography and Family Films
Every year before the New Year, I try to sit down and make goals for myself personally and in my business. For 2017 my goal was to start confidently offering Family Films along with Birth Films. I'm not going to lie, shooting, editing, and building these films was a whole new challenge that I was not expecting. Shooting them takes a lot of skill but editing is a beast in itself. This isn't anything like editing my photography sessions and it also made me realize just how bored I was getting with my photography. No, no, I still love it, but once you really get something down..it's time to move onto the next challenge. I'm happy to say I've hit my goal and I am now offering these as an add on for any session along with film packages alone. I love photography but portraits don't even compare when it comes to wanting to really preserve your memories. There's movement, laughter, genuine smiles, voices, it's completely different. If you're wanting to REALLY remember this season in your life, a family film is the way to go!
The Chamberlain family came to me because they're in-between seasons, so close to moving into a new one. Their oldest is about to start the big Kindergarten and their time here in Alaska is quickly coming to an end. They wanted to remember their slow Alaskan mornings and I hope I did their sweet memories justice!
To the Chamberlain family, thank you for choosing me to take on this project for you and for inviting me into your life for just a little bit. Here's to hoping this little film gives you a bit of Alaska to hold onto but more importantly, helps you preserve the memories that will all too soon be behind you. <3
P.S- Choose "HD 1080p" when viewing if possible! ;)
