Sweet Oliver's mama came to me months before his birth wanting it ALL. She hadn't gotten to experience having her births documented before and she hadn't had professional newborn portraits either. So, I gave it all and I am so glad I was the lucky one that got to work with this family. It's amazing how close and comfortable you get with clients you continuously work with. They turn into so much more than "clients". They become friends and I feel so lucky to have been able to experience all of this with them.
Watching a woman work through labor is absolutely amazing. Women are STRONG and you don't realize just how strong until you get to see it with your own eyes. Rachel (mama) was nothing short of strong. She pushed through contractions like they were nothing and in the end had a beautiful blonde haired boy in her arms.
Rachel, thank you for your choosing me. Getting to document your pregnancy, birth, and your sweet little Oliver after birth has been such a gift. Seriously, I adore you. <3
I am becoming so very obsessed with film work. There is something so magical about watching life really happening on video and having the option to watch it at any time. I thought photography was EVERYTHING at this time last year and now I have to say, I think these films might be even more important. Sure, you can't hang these on your wall, but you can literally watch a memory again..over and over. Technology is amazing.
